Professional occupation: 
Clinical experience: Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, CHU Saint Pierre, a university hospital of the free universities of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel). Head of the menopause and osteoporosis clinic. 

Research experience : Current Head of the « Laboratory of women’s health” of the “Université Libre de Bruxelles” at the CHU Saint Pierre. Extensive experience in the initiation of studies, writing of designs, reports and articles. Participation in international clinical trials, experience as adviser in boards of clinical trials. 

Publications : Author of more than 170 peer review articles (medline), most of them as first or last author. 

Education experience : Current Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Faculty of Medicine since 1999).  Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Faculty of « Science Motrices » since 2014). Clinical Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.  

Promotor of more than 60 thesises at the end of medical school for candidates who want to specialise in gynaecolgy and obstetrics 

Promotor of one Thèse d’aggrégation (PhD Thesis) by Prof.Dr Annick Delvigne : Contribution to Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome and co-promotor (with Prof GB Cadière) of the thesis of Prof Dr Debis Mukwege "Etiologie, classification et traitement des fistules traumatiques uro-génitales et génito-digestives basses dans l'est de la RDC"

Other Scientific experience: Actual editor for supplements Maturitas, ex-associate editor of Human Reproduction and of the International Journal of Fertility and Menopausal Studies » Member of the editorial review board of different journals: « Climacteric, Menopause Reviews, Endocrinological gynaecology and menopause » and reviewer for many journals:. British Medical Journal, Maturitas, Women & Health, Climacteric, International journal of fertility, Drugs, Gynaecological and Obstetric Investigation, Cochrane collaboration database.

Communication skills: Regularly invited speaker at international and national meetings. Experience in organising international and national meetings. 

Mission/expert/consultant Expert for the « commission de transparence des médicaments » in Belgium, invited expert in France for the ANAES (05/2004) on « Traitements hormonaux substitutifs de la ménopause » 

Scientific societies : Current secretary general of the European Menopause Society (EMAS), Past president and current secretary of the Belgian Menopause society, board member of the Belgian Bone Club; member of many other scientific societies such as the Endocrine society, ASBMR, International Menopause Society. 

Distinction and prizes: Fondation Vésale (Bourse United Fund) 1991, Solvay Prize 1995 and Belgian Bone Club Prize 1995.
